Effective November 3, 2026. These terms cover your use of Tonight in Providence (tonightinprovidence.com). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What the site is
Tonight in Providence is an independent guide to events, food, nightlife and local news in Providence, Rhode Island and the towns nearby. It’s free to read. We aren’t a ticket seller, and we aren’t affiliated with the venues, organizers or businesses we list unless a page says so.
Listings and information
We check every listing against the venue’s or organizer’s own information before it goes up, and every listing shows when it was checked (see how we check). Events still change: shows sell out, times move and plans get cancelled. Confirm with the venue or organizer before you go. The site is provided “as is”, and we can’t guarantee that everything on it is complete, current or error-free.
- Tickets, prices, age rules and refunds are set by the venue, organizer or ticket seller, not by us. Buying a ticket is between you and them.
- Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
- If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page and we’ll fix it.
Submitting events and businesses
Listing an event or business is free. When you submit an event or list your business, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you’re allowed to share it, including any image you upload. You let us publish, edit and shorten it on the site and in our social posts. We review every submission and may decline or remove any listing; submitting doesn’t guarantee that it will appear.
Content and photos
The writing on this site belongs to Tonight in Providence. You’re welcome to link to any page and quote a short excerpt with a link back; please don’t republish whole articles or listings. Photos belong to their owners: event images come from the venues and organizers, and other photos are used under their licenses (usually Creative Commons, via Wikimedia Commons) with the photographer credited on the page.
Ads and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics and may show ads served by Google AdSense. What they collect, and your choices, are explained in our privacy policy. Ads are labeled as ads and don’t affect which events or places we list.
Using the site
Please don’t misuse the site: no automated scraping that strains it, no attempts to break in or disrupt it, and no spam or unlawful content in the forms. We may block access that does.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Tonight in Providence isn’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its listings, including events that change, are cancelled or sell out.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions? Contact us.
