Rhode Island Comic Con 2026 Guide – Hours, Tickets, Parking and the I-195 Closure
Rhode Island Comic Con is Nov. 6–8 in Providence. Hours, ticket prices, the prop and smart-glasses rules, parking, and Friday night’s I-195 closure.
Rhode Island Comic Con is back downtown Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, 2026, filling the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion at 1 Sabin Street. This year’s show marks Star Trek’s 60th anniversary. Here are the hours, ticket prices, what you can bring, where to park, and the overnight I-195 closure that lands on opening night.
Hours
- Friday, November 6: 3 to 9 PM (VIP from 2 PM)
- Saturday, November 7: 10 AM to 7 PM (VIP from 9 AM)
- Sunday, November 8: 10 AM to 5 PM (VIP from 9 AM)
Tickets
Prices from October 6 on, before Ticketmaster fees:
- Friday: $55 adults, $28 kids 6 to 12
- Saturday: $70 adults, $33 kids
- Sunday: $60 adults, $28 kids
- All three days: $129.99 adults, $54.99 kids; VIP $259.99
- Kids 5 and under get in free with an adult ticket. Tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged, including when a guest cancels.
To skip the Ticketmaster fees, buy at the Amica Mutual Pavilion box office or a Toy Vault store. Autographs and photo ops are sold separately, and the celebrities set those prices.
What to bring, and what to leave home
- Cosplay props are welcome but security checks them at the door. Swords must be foam and toy guns orange-tipped; no wood or metal weapons.
- Not allowed: real weapons or knives, fireworks, selfie sticks, folding chairs, balloons, strollers wider than 31 inches or longer than 52 inches, and outside food or drink.
- No smart glasses in celebrity and panel areas. Meta and other camera glasses, body cams and GoPros are banned there, and anyone using one can lose their badge without a refund.
- Expect bag checks and possibly metal detectors, so leave time to get in, and carry a photo ID.
- Lockers are on site all three days, from $15 a day if you book ahead.
Parking
The convention center’s North Garage, 99 West Exchange Street, connects straight into the convention center and the Pavilion. Event parking is $25 plus tax, you can reserve a space ahead on ParkWhiz, and a lost ticket costs $40. More options in our Providence parking guide.
Driving in Friday night? The I-195 closure
RIDOT is closing I-195 in both directions near the Taunton Avenue exit in East Providence from 10 PM Friday, November 6, to tear down the Potter Street Bridge for the Washington Bridge rebuild. Lane closures can start after 8 PM. Some lanes reopen by 10 AM Saturday and all of them by noon. RIDOT says to avoid I-195 during the closure if you can.
- Heading east (out of Providence): take Exit 1D for Warren Avenue, turn left, follow Warren Avenue about a mile, then turn left onto the ramp back to I-195 East. Exits 1B and 1C stay open.
- Heading west (into Providence): take Exit 2 for Broadway, turn left, then right onto Warren Avenue, then right onto the temporary ramp to I-195 West.
- In East Providence: Broadway is closed between Freeborn and Warren avenues, there’s no parking on that stretch of Warren Avenue, and cross traffic on Warren Avenue is limited to Pawtucket Avenue and Waterfront Drive. That’s the block with Comedy Connection, where Chris Hardwick plays at 7 and 9:30 PM Friday.
