Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, so the whole weekend is a party: the last nights of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, ghost tours on Benefit Street and the river, costume parties at The Strand, The Met and Medici, and a trick-or-treat at Providence Place. Here’s what we’d pick, then everything we’ve confirmed below.

Friday, October 30

• Wicked Walk Doors, free trick-or-treating through Roger Williams Park from the Gateway Center, 4 to 6 PM (register ahead).
• Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo, from 6 PM, $23. More in our Jack-O-Lantern guide.
• Halloween After Dark, a 21+ night at the Museum of Natural History with a spooky scavenger hunt and costumes, 7 to 10 PM.
• Haunted Boat Tour on the river with the Providence River Boat Company, from 6 PM.
• The Bad Luck Ball at AS220, 7:30 PM.
• High on Fire at Fête Music Hall, 7:30 PM.
• The Barr Brothers at The Met in Pawtucket, 8:30 PM, $30.
• Witching Hour Secret Cellar at Burbage Theatre in Pawtucket, 7:30 PM, $25.

Saturday, October 31: Halloween

• A walking tour of Poe’s Providence from the Sarah Helen Whitman House on Benefit Street, 11 AM, $15.
• Monster Mash, trick-or-treating at Providence Place, from 2 PM.
• Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, the last regular night, from 6 PM, $23.
• Haunted Benefit Street and the Real Ghosts of Providence true crime tour, both at 7 PM.
• Blackbeard’s Halloween Party at The Met, 8 PM, $100.
• Halloween Fest at The Strand, 9 PM, $39.65.
• Daniel Allan’s Halloween at Medici, 9 PM, $22.99.

Sunday, November 1

• The Providence Flea at Farm Fresh RI Market Hall, 11 AM to 3 PM, free.
• Drum circle with Sidy Maiga at AS220, 4 PM.
• Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Last Call, an adults-only (21+) final night at the zoo, 6 PM, $30.

Don’t forget: the clocks go back an hour at 2 AM Sunday, so Halloween night gets an extra hour. And on Sunday the city’s parking meters are free (parking guide).
